I’ve been photographing Business Portraits for Cowan Insurance Group for many years. It is always a positive experience. For the third year in a row they have been recognized as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies. I was invited to create individual Head & Shoulder Business Portraits of several of their finest.
Three years running, what an accomplishment! From the people assisting to orchestrate the photography sessions to those being photographed they are always friendly, interesting and engaged people. It speaks highly of the type of people hired at Cowan and the business environment they foster.
Before starting my own business I worked as a corporate photographer for an organization where the working environment was empowering. Employees felt they were part of something larger than themselves while knowing they were valued for their contribution. As a result we enjoyed working hard often going the extra distance to provide excellent service internally and externally.
Whenever I’m photographing for Cowan I get that same sense of an empowered community. When employees feel constructively engaged they step up. Everyone wins – the staff, the company and their clients.
Cowan also invited me to create a group photograph for an article that will be published in Insurance Business Canada magazine profiling the Top 10 Brokerages in Canada. What an honour to be asked by such a fine organization to help them promote their success. We had great fun creating this group portrait for the 2nd year in a row.
